Foreign Landscapes
I made this form some time ago - porcelain clay, slab built and pinched. Then I decorated and hated it! But today, I took it down from the shelf, turned it around and suddenly SAW it as if for the first time. And the message came: foreign landscapes.
Once I received the message, I had the need to put something in it. So I christened it with some of the flax plant that I have in my studio.
Those red drips are my legs and feet carrying me as I navigate through foreign landscapes; both literally and figuratively.
Now it all feels complete.
